Building on
the success of their previous award-winning models, Toshiba has launched the
Toshiba SD330E Multi-region DVD Player, a well-specified
and great-looking DVD player that will no doubt net Toshiba yet more awards and
accolades. The
Toshiba SD330E has the same 430 mm(w) x 220 mm(d) footprint
as on the
Toshiba SD220 Multi-region DVD Player, although Toshiba has
shaved off a few millimetres from the height to make it a very tidy 60 mm tall.
The angled front facia has been retained, making the SD330 still as
aesthetically pleasing to look at.
But it isn't
just good looks that set this player apart from the competition. The
Toshiba SD330E retains the high-quality video and audio
playback that won the
Toshiba SD220 so many fans. Enhanced Picture Mode gives you
five settings, covering Light, Normal, Movie 1, Movie 2 and Animation. While
Enhanced Audio Mode will produce a virtual 3-D surround sound from just two
speakers as well as a dialogue mode that makes speech easier to hear. The
Toshiba SD330E's audio and video connections include a
single RGB SCART socket, S-Video, composite and component video (Y/Pb/Pr)
outputs. There are analogue, digital coaxial and digital optical outputs for
audio.
New
additions to the
Toshiba SD330E include WMA audio CD playback in addition to
the existing MP3 audio playback. However, one of the most exciting features for
digital photography fans is the inclusion of JPEG image CD playback. Simply
insert a CD containing JPEG image files and view them on your TV. You can view
images individually or as a slideshow. |
