JVC have
managed to cram so much into the slimline
JVC XV-N33SL Multi-region DVD Player it's incredible. The
picture is extremely sharp - even using a cheap scart lead. The remote is easy
to use, and the system is jam packed with features.
There is a
very handy x1.8 zoom, which means that you can zoom into an area of the screen
during playback (instead of only on a still freeze-frame) and watch footage to
a decent level of quality. Another neat feature of the
JVC XV-N33SL is that you can pan around with the zoom on,
so that you are not resticted to zooming the centre of the screen. This zoom
works very well for removing the black bars on letterbox widescreen
movies.
The
JVC XV-N33SL also plays back JPEG images. with an easy to
use on-screen menu enabling you to view the images individually from different
folders or grouped. The quality of the images is breathtaking and there is no
need to convert them in any way. You can even zoom and pan into the
images.
The VFP
(Video Fine Processor) button on the
JVC XV-N33SL's remote lets you fine tune the picture by
adjusting the brightness, gamma level, etc. The player also has variable
bi-directional slow motion speeds as well as different scan speeds for forward
and reverse. |
